Even gods get horny! The woman never told her husband, so he assumed it was his child. Never wanting it, the mercenary did all he cold to discourage the boy from living. Torture was Jocul's father's specialty. Horrors aplenty could be told about the things Jocul was forced to endure during waking hours, only to go to sleep and relive it in his nightmares. At the age of 18, Jocul decided that life must get better for him. He escaped while performing the dip and swim for his father. A rather grueling exercise, in which he was told to swim to the bottom of the lake near the home and stay down until his father beat the water with a paddle. You can bet his father waited a hell of a long time. But his father did not count on his son learning to bring just the tip of his nose above water level. Jocul used this last ability to great effectiveness when he swam the length of the 200 yard lake and then ran for his freedom with his father none the wiser. As a matter of fact, Jocul's father believed he had finally broke the boy and killed him. Jocul has spent his years of freedom as an expert assassin in the area of Mulmaster, with his parents none the wiser. He does hope one day to return to his father and do wondrous things with a pair of daggers.
